Daniel Kish — “The man that sees with it’s Ears.”
The “real-life batman”. For the past 15 years, Daniel Kish, CEO of World Access for the Blind, has been challenging the blindness rehabilitation establishment, the hallowed halls of academia, and the scientific and research community to break through previously immovable barriers of widely held misconceptions about blindness, other disabilities, and about the very capacities of human perception. From this research and thousands of hours experience with students of all ages and abilities, the term “FlashSonar” was coined. Kish and some of his students combined FlashSonar with other alternative techniques to apply them to independent urban and mountain bicycling, skating, ball playing, and solo wilderness expeditions.

Vlad Temian — “The Connector of geeks”
The connector of gifted geek teenagers, helping them achieve more things that they ever could on their own. He went from a regular guy growing up in a small village near Arad to one of the most connected teenagers of his generation in Timisoara’s IT Industry. Even if he’s still in high school he already has an impressive track record of award winning, professional experience in local IT companies and founder of his own startup named Outclan.
Virgiliu Pop — “The Man close to landing on Mars”
World’s specialists in the area of space property rights. A member of the International Institute of Space Law, Virgiliu has authored two books and several acclaimed papers in the field of space law and policy, and was interviewed by prestigious media outlets as diverse as New Scientist, Space.com/MSNBC, The Space Show, La Tercera (Chile), Ta Nea (Greece), Geo Magazine (Germany), BBC 4 (UK), Publico (Spain), DR (Denmark) and several publications in his Romania.
Adi Mihai Ionică — “One of the Robot Scorpion Builders”
One of the creators of the Urban Scorpion, one of the most interesting Arduino project in the city.
Florin Adrian Socaciu — “The Sport Movement in Universities”
Works towards the revival of sport championships in Universities across Romania and helping them join the International Sport Circuit bridging as a result local universities with the private sector, institutions and NGOs.
Cătălin Negrea — “The Designer of Things”
Assistent professor of Product Design and Arts bridging the two disciplines.
Andrei Condoroşi — “The designer of public social interaction spaces for cities”
The designer of public social interaction spaces for cities. He’s the vice-president of the Romanian National Association of Landscape Designers (ASOP) and one of the creators of the “Urban Green for the Visual Impaired” and “Green up!” pioneer projects in Romania aimed to create better and healthier living spaces in Timisoara.

Andrei Juravle — “The massmedia fighter on astronomy trenches”
Andrei Juravle addresses the errors and false news about astronomy that appear in today’s media outlets all over the world due to the media’s love of sensationalism that is mostly unscientifically valid but sells units. He started like everybody else with little knowledge about astronomy, gathering information from mainstream media that proved to be wrong. He now knows better and he attempts to correctly inform citizens and supply them with knowledge in order to enable them to distinguish on their own between valid scientific news and pure speculation. Andrei is now one of the best regarded amateur astronomers in the city and founder and manager of an online amateur astronomy shop.
