Spreading TEDx in Romania, Co-organizing events, Resource sharing, Mentorship
TEDxReghin leaders: Klaus Birthler — Architect, Sorin Suciu — Financial Consultant
Out of a real passion for spreading the TEDx community values and TED ideas in România, after founding TEDx Timişoara and organizing several events, Vlad Fiscutean started evangelising and empowering local leaders in different cities of the country to organize their own local TEDx events. The first breakthrough came in April 2011 after more then one year of meetings and discussions with local leaders. A new TEDx event was born in the idylic land of Reghin — Internationally known as The City of Violins, one of the very last places where you can still find today luthiers who know the art and science of hand-crafting violins.
TEDx Timişoara will remain involved in the event by supporting the community and sharing logistic resources, advice and know-how.
TEDxBlaj

TEDxBlaj leaders: Laura Mercurean — Kinetoterapeut
When you talk about Romanian culture you have to remember this city. First mentioned in 1271 as Villa Herbordi, Blaj played an important role in Romanian culture and education being the palce where the first public school was established in 1754. Blaj was also a center for the Romanian Age of Enlightenment, being the founding site of the Şcoala Ardeleană society that promoted the Roman cultural heritage of the Romanians.
